In June 2019 the United Kingdom National Screening Committee (UK NSC) published an evidence summary consultation document in relation to its review of the evidence for screening for the risk of sudden cardiac death in young people (12-39). The review process began in February 2019 and is estimated to be completed by December 2019.
The UK NSC welcomes comments and feedback on the evidence review during the consultation period that lasts from 7 June to 7 September 2019.
The UK NSC is an independent committee that advises Ministers and the National Health Service in all four UK countries on all aspects of screening and supports implementation of screening programmes. Conditions are reviewed against evidence review criteria according to the UK NSC’s evidence review process.
