To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many assaults on NHS staff occurred in (a) Suffolk and (b) England in 2018.

The number of assaults on National Health Service staff that occurred in Suffolk in 2018, is 2,318. This information is collected from local trusts by NHS Improvement.

The number of assaults on NHS staff occurring across England is not currently collected centrally.
