To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, how many facilitates there are in the UK that generate energy from waste.

There are 83 permitted operational incineration plants in England with waste feedstocks derived from municipal sources; waste wood (biomass), sewage sludge and clinical waste.
