To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what his Department's policy is on American food standards in relation to a UK-US trade deal after the UK leaves the EU.
The Government has been clear that any future trade agreements must work for consumers, farmers, and businesses in the UK. We will maintain our standards on food safety, animal welfare and environmental protection as part of any future trade deals.
