Department for Work and Pensions written question – answered at on 19 March 2019.
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what plans she has in place for people to claim legacy benefits who have not been given access to universal credit in (a) full and (b) live service areas.
Universal Credit is now fully rolled out to all jobcentres as of December 2018. For the extremely small number of people who need to make a new claim to legacy benefits in Great Britain, the Department provides support through a dedicated DWP telephony line to assist with new claims to legacy benefits. Should a claimant require face-to-face contact, advice and support continues to be available in local Jobcentres to assist claimants to access their entitlements
