To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, pursuant to the answer of 23 January 2019, to Question 208845 on Revenue and Customs: Overseas Aid, what that money was spent on.

Official Development Assistance spend by HMRC supports the revenue authorities of developing countries to provide economic integration, stability and growth by:

  1. improving their tax and customs administration functions; and

  2. improving their tax and customs policies to increase revenue collection.
