I am encouraged by this international project which gives the Commonwealth a real opportunity to save its forests, while celebrating the Queen’s service to the Commonwealth. A number of organisations that Defra support represent the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy at a national and international level, including the National Forest Company.

As part of this wider initiative and as part of the five saplings project, Ministers have been planting ‘5 Queens Commonwealth Canopy trees’ to support this initiative.
