I spoke with the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, at the United Nations Security Council meeting on Venezuela on 26 January. The Foreign Secretary released a statement on Venezuela during a visit to Washington where he discussed the situation with Mr Pompeo and the US Vice President, Mike Pence, on 24 January. We remain in close touch with the US and other partners on the evolving political situation in Venezuela.
