To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how much his Department has spent on Official Development Assistance in each year since 2015.

Since the beginning of 2015 the Ministry of Defence has spent a total of £13.98 million on Official Development Assistance (ODA), a breakdown by year is below.

The 2018 figure is currently undergoing the usual assurance process and is scheduled to be published on 1 April 2019.

£5.11 million

£6.12 million

ODA is reported on the basis of calendar years rather than financial years, and is reported on a cash rather than an accruals basis.
