To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to increase public awareness of the link between alcohol consumption and cancer.
Public Health England (PHE) and Drinkaware’s ‘Drink Free days’ campaign, launched in September 2018, highlighted the links between alcohol and cancer.
The campaign website includes information about alcohol increasing the risk of at least seven types of cancer, with a particular focus on bowel cancer, breast cancer and oral cancer. The Drink Free Days campaign website is available to view at the following link:
