To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, pursuant to the Answer of 12 October 2018 to Question 174604, whether he has made an assessment of the effect on public health of local authorities charging for the collection of garden waste.
The Government has not carried out any assessments of the effect on public health of local authorities charging for garden waste collection. Local authorities are able to charge for garden waste collection and make local decisions on whether to levy a charge ideally in consultation with local residents.
