The Forfeiture Committee is an independent body. Its deliberations are confidential and no comment is made in relation to progress on individual cases. Following the recent allegations the Forfeiture Committee received a number of pieces of correspondence requesting the removal of his honour. Mr Weinstein has since been charged with criminal offences in the US. We understand that the CPS are considering charges in this country. The committee will not be likely to take any action until the end of legal proceedings.
