To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what recent discussions he has had with the Department for Exiting the European Union on the mutual recognition of seafarers’ certification issued in the (a) UK and (b) EU after 29 March 2019.

My colleagues and I have regular discussions with other Departments, including the Department for Exiting the European Union, on issues related to the UK’s exit from the European Union, including the recognition of seafarers certificates.
