To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many applications submitted since 12 November 2015 for British citizenship submitted by EEA nationals have been (a) rejected and (b) refused because the applicant did not provide a permanent residence card or a document certifying permanent residence in each year for which figures are available.

The available published information on the number of decisions to refuse applications for British citizenship by the main reason for refusal are published in Home Office’s Immigration Statistics, year ending June 2018, Citizenship table cz_09 (Refusals of citizenship by reason) and available from https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/immigration-statistics-year-ending-june-2018/list-of-tables#citizenship

Refusals and rejections on the specific grounds mentioned could only be identified at disproportionate cost.
