To ask the Secretary of State for Education, pursuant to the Answer of 4 September 2018 to Question 168002, to what budget the £5 million fund for transport to selective schools for disadvantaged pupils has been reallocated.

As the Department is not taking forward proposals to open new selective schools, we are not taking forward plans for free transport specifically for children who are eligible for free school meals who attend their nearest selective school. The £5.5 million allocated to this fund was therefore not retained by the Department.
