Department of Health and Social Care written question – answered on 4th September 2018.
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what estimate he has made of the average number of (a) available and (b) occupied consultant-led mental health beds in Yorkshire and the Humber in each year since 2009.
The information requested is attached.
Since 2013/14, National Health Service trusts may have started to classify an increasing number of mental illness beds as non-consultant-led. This is because some mental health services are now run by multi-disciplinary teams rather than consultants.
