Over the last few years, this Government has provided an unprecedented level of support for our vital offshore oil and gas industry that supports more than 300,000 jobs across the UK. Several sectors, including the oil and gas sector have expressed an interest in a sector deal and we are considering seriously these credible industry-led proposals. We intend to take forward some further deals that best meet expectations set out in the White Paper in due course.
