To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what estimate he has made of the number of private sector employers to be impacted by the Government’s proposed changes to IR35 legislation.
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what assessment his Department has made of the potential effect on productivity and the costs of doing business of extending the IR35 reforms in the public sector to the private sector.
The Government is currently consulting on how to best tackle non-compliance with the off-payroll working rules (known as IR35) in the private sector. The impact and effect on businesses will depend on the outcome of those consultations.
