Women and Equalities written question – answered at on 25 June 2018.
To ask the Minister for Women and Equalities, how the Government plans to ensure that the future process for gender recognition is available to people regardless of their financial means or ability.
In the upcoming consultation on the Gender Recognition Act 2004, respondents will be able to share their views on the financial costs involved in applying for a Gender Recognition Certificate. After the consultation, the Government will consider these views and publish our response to the consultation findings, which will set out how we intend to reform the Act.
