Fully and partially selective schools were not eligible to apply to the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) in 2018-19 for added places expansion projects, but they were able to apply for condition projects or to address overcrowding. All applications to the CIF are reviewed and prioritised on published criteria based on the needs of the individual school building, regardless of whether they are a selective school or not.
