To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, how many staff responsible for the delivery of Stewardship Programmes have been transferred from Natural England to the Rural Payments Agency.

As yet no staff have been transferred from Natural England to the Rural Payments Agency.

In the autumn, Natural England are currently expecting to transfer approximately 400 staff to the RPA for transactional work on Environmental Stewardship and Countryside Stewardship.

There are also approximately 300 temporary agency workers that are under consideration.
