To ask Her Majesty's Government what is their estimate of the number of grey partridges in the UK.
The Defra wild bird statistics, which measure relative abundance, show decreases for grey partridge of 92 percent in the long term (1970-2015) and 15 percent in the short term (2010-2015).
In 2009 the Avian Population Estimates Panel estimated a UK grey partridge population of 43,000 breeding pairs.
