To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland, what steps his Department is taking to enable Gaelic speakers to complete official documents in that language.

The work of the Office rarely requires members of the public to complete official documents. The Office would support anyone who requires it on a case-by-case basis.

Secretary of State

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
