To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the level of skills needed in the tourism and hospitality sector to meet the needs of those industries; and what assessment they have made of skills shortages in that area.

We have been working with the hospitality and tourism sectors across the country to assess skills challenges and opportunities.

The sector, together with Government, have proposed a skills plan as part of the proposed Tourism Sector Deal - this has a strong focus on developing domestic skills to meet employer demand, as well as improving the attractiveness of the sector as a career path. We are working closely with industry in this process.

Alongside this, Government is working hard to meet business needs by investing in the reform of employer-led training such as hospitality apprenticeships.
