Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs written question – answered at on 8 May 2018.
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what amendments were made to the periodic emission limit values for particulate matter made in the variation number CP3136XQ to the permit given to MES Environmental for its Dudley incineration plant.
Amendments were made to change the emission limit value (ELV) for particulate matter which is measured on a periodic (twice yearly) basis to the same value as that of the half hourly ELV for particulate matter which is measured on a continuous basis. This was in line with the Waste Incineration Directive which was in force at the time and remains in line with the current requirements of the Industrial Emissions Directive.
