We are working with our UN Security Council partners to ensure that the mandate of the UN Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO) continues to enable it to promote peace and security in Western Sahara. We have consistently supported language in the relevant UN Security Council resolutions to encourage the parties to continue their efforts to enhance the promotion and protection of human rights in Western Sahara.
