To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what estimate he has made of the amount of water lost through leakage as a proportion of total supply by water companies in 2017; and if he will make a statement.
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what estimate his Department has made of the (a) number of recorded leaks and (b) amount of water lost as a result of leaks from water pipes in England in each year since 2010.
The Environment Agency estimates that the following amount of water has been lost as a result of leakage since 2010 in England:
