To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, if she will take steps to allow callers contacting 999 control rooms to use the what3words geocoding addressing system to provide more precise location data for emergency services.

The handling of 999 calls is an operational matter for the Police and Fire Service. It is for elected Police and Crime Commissioners, Chief Constables and Chief Fire Constables to decide how their service resources are deployed and how best to manage their communications with the public.
