To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many people are registered as stem cell donors on the NHS stem cell registry; and what proportion of people who are registered as stem cell donors are from black and ethnic minority ethnic backgrounds.
Around 1.3 million people are registered on the United Kingdom’s Aligned Registry. Approximately 15% of these people are from black and ethnic minority ethnic backgrounds.
