Department for Transport written question – answered at on 20 February 2018.
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what information his Department holds on how many local authorities have signed confidentially agreements with HS2 Ltd.
In order to undertake its tasks, HS2 Ltd requires certain information from local authorities (and, on occasions, such local authorities require information from HS2 Ltd). It is typical protocol for local authorities that they will not release information unless a confidentiality agreement is in place with the proposed recipient of that information. HS2 Ltd’s records show that 20 confidentiality agreements have been entered into with local authorities.
