Donate to our crowdfunderMinistry of Defence written question – answered on 14th February 2018.
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what assessment he has made of the implications for his Department's policies of the announcement by China's Ministry of National Defence that it successfully tested a land-based mid-course missile interception system on 5 February 2018.
We continue to monitor and make assessments on these and other foreign missile capabilities that could pose a threat to UK interests both now and in the future. For reasons of safeguarding national security we do not comment on specific assessments.
