To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what steps are being taken to inform universal credit claimants of their eligibility for free NHS prescriptions.
Universal Credit claimants are informed of their potential entitlement to support with NHS charges (such as prescriptions, dental costs and sight tests) via their monthly payment statements.
Additionally, information about the eligibility for support with NHS charges is ultimately a matter for the Department of Health and Social Care and, where a claimant lives in Scotland, the Scottish Government.
