To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, how many disposable coffee cups were purchased by his Department in each of the last five years.

The information requested is not held centrally. Disposable coffee cups are purchased by an external catering supplier, which was unable to provide this information.

The catering facilities in the Department’s headquarters office in 2 Marsham Street are provided through the Home Office. The coffee cups used in the Department’s headquarters office in 2 Marsham Street are biodegradable.

Staff and visitors are encouraged to dispose of waste appropriately and userecycling bins where it is appropriate to do so.
