The Government is clear about the value we place on the role of our police officers and emergency service workers in cutting crime and keeping our communities safe. That is why we are supporting the Assaults on Emergency Workers Bill, which will increase penalties available to those who attack emergency service workers. This Bill sends a clear message that we will not tolerate attacks on emergency service workers.
