To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what information his Department holds on the number of people who were fined for cycling on a pavement in 2017.

This is an operational matter for Chief Officers of police.

The Ministry of Justice is not yet in a position to publish the data it collects on the number of offenders sentenced to a fine by the courts for offences related to cycling in England and Wales for 2017. Data for 2017, including finalised data for Quarters 1 and 2, is planned for publication in May 2018.
