The data on the Government Grants Information System is not sufficiently robust to provide a comprehensive picture of total funding to organisations with a charity number for the Financial Years 2014/15 and 2015/16. This is because we did not begin collecting award level data until 2015/16. From 2016/17 departments are required to record charity numbers against all applicable grants, this will improve the dataset for future years.
