To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what steps the Government is taking to increase parking provision at railway stations; and if he will make a statement.

In competitively tendering rail franchises, the Government includes a specific requirement for operators to set out how they will manage stations to ensure customers can access the railway. This requirement includes plans for car parking, but also for cycle storage, and working with local transport bodies to better integrate bus and tram connections where these exist.
