To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment he has made of rail journey times between Nottingham and Derby as a result of High Speed 2; and if he will make a statement.
The Department recognises the importance of direct rail connections between Derby and Nottingham, so will maintain such services. Exact service provision will be confirmed before the opening of HS2 in 2033.
