Holding answer received on 07 December 2017

Over the last two years, the total cost of equipment supplied by Her Majesty's Government to the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) was £2.2 million.

This has been a mix of purchased items and surplus equipment; the intention to gift the latter was laid before the House in 2015 and 2016. These items reflected the urgent and life saving nature of our support at the time and were in direct response to requests made by the Ukrainian authorities.

We remain committed to our support for Ukraine, including British Army training aimed at improving defensive capabilities as the UAF continue to meet the challenges of ongoing aggression from Russian-backed separatist forces.
