To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what assessment he has made of the implications for his Department of the findings of the United States Government Accountability Office report to Congressional Committees published in October 2017, on F-35 aircraft sustainment.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether he has received assurances from the F-35 Joint Programme Office that the findings of the United States Government Accountability Office Report to Congressional Committees of October 2017 on F-35 aircraft sustainment will be addressed.

The Ministry of Defence continues to work closely with the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) on all issues identified within the United States Government Accountability Office report.

The JPO has numerous initiatives under way to improve F-35 logistics and sustainment, for example accelerating depot capability and capacity, increasing delivery of spare parts, and reducing overall sustainment costs.
