To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what recent discussions officials of his Department have had with (a) their counterparts in the US Administration or (b) representatives of Lockheed Martin on production targets for the F35 variants falling behind schedule.

The Department is in regular discussions with the US Government-led F-35 Joint Program Office, which manages the programme on behalf of the F-35 Partner Nations, and with Lockheed Martin, the aircraft production integrator, to ensure contracted production targets are met.
