The Department for Transport intends to set out the outcomes we want from the rail network in Control Period 6 (CP6 – 2019 to 2024) during the remainder of 2017, following on from the High Level Output Specification (HLOS) that was published in July.

The work of the Peninsula Rail Task Force, which includes aspirations for line speed increases between Exeter and Plymouth, continues to be a valuable part of the process for defining our priorities for investment after 2019.
