To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what estimate he has made of the number of civilian casualties killed in Saudi Arabian air strikes in Yemen.

The Ministry of Defence does not make an assessment of the number of civilian casualties as a result of Saudi Arabian air strikes as we do not have access to all the information that would allow us to do so accurately.

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
