To ask the Secretary of State for Education, pursuant to her oral statement of 17 July 2017, Official Report, column 563, on school funding, what estimate she has made of per capita funding to be provided to West Sussex primary school pupils in 2018-19.

The Secretary of State announced an additional £1.3 billion for schools and high needs across 2018-19 and 2019-20, in addition to the schools budget set at Spending Review 2015. As a result, core funding for schools will rise from almost £41 billion in 2017-18 to £42.4 billion in 2018-19 and £43.5 billion in 2019-20.

The details of the formula, including primary and secondary units of funding for each local authority, will be set out in September when we respond to the consultation in full.
