Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of reports that visitors to the illegal Israeli settlement of Gush Etzion are being offered the opportunity to take part in a simulation exercise and pretend to be an Israeli soldier shooting at Palestinian terrorists.

While we have not made any assessment on this issue, it has long been the UK’s position that Israeli settlement activity is illegal. We have a regular dialogue with both the Palestinian Authority and the Government of Israel in which we reiterate the need for both sides to prepare their populations for peaceful coexistence, including by promoting a more positive portrayal of each other, and avoiding incitement.
