To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many applications for settlement visas for spouses were refused in 2016.
Information on family settlement visas is published quarterly in the Immigration Statistics, the latest of which are available at: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/immigration-statistics-january-to-march-2017/list-of-tables#visas. The data shows that there were 10,958 settlement visa refusals for spouses in 2016.
