To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what the Government's policy is on reducing deaths and injuries to road users; and if he will adopt casualty reduction targets.

The British Road Safety statement sets out the Department for Transport’s vision, values and priorities in relation to British road safety. Local Authorities and the police are free to set casualty reduction targets, if they find it useful.
