The Secretary of State for International Development, the Rt Hon Priti Patel visited South Sudan on 10 April 2017. Severe food insecurity levels and malnutrition rates, including pockets of famine, continue to worsen alongside an unprecedented dry season and cholera outbreak. The operational environment is significantly constrained with severe access issues and diminishing humanitarian space.
