Home Office written question – answered at on 24 April 2017.
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what the Government's policy is on the UK's membership of Europol after the UK has left the EU.
As the Prime Minister has set out, one of the objectives for the negotiations ahead is to continue practical cooperation with the EU to tackle cross-border crime and to keep our people safe.
We are examining the options for cooperation arrangements once the UK has left the EU but it would be wrong to set out unilateral positions on specific measures as we enter negotiations.
