To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to paragraph 2.6, page 23 of the National Audit Office report, Delivering Carrier Strike, published on 16 March 2017, how many UK F-35B Lightning II fighters will be left in the US after 2018; and for how long those fighters will remain in the country.

After 2018, five UK F-35B Lightning aircraft will remain at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort conducting operational conversion training. These aircraft are planned to fly to the UK in the summer of 2019 to form the UK Operational Conversion Unit.
